Our Client are a leading Air Conditioning and Building Services company based near Cambridge. They concentrate on quality air conditioning and have an excellent track record of training and staff retention.
The current H&S Manager is due to retire, hence the reason for this vacancy being open.
The role is hybrid with a mixture of working from home, in the office and on customer sites.

Travel Requirements
In this role you will be required to engage in regular travel to our customers throughout East Anglia, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Essex (not London)
What you’ll be doing
The Health & Safety Manager plays an important part in adding value providing tactical support, information and guidance necessary for the operations team to deliver their service in a safe manner.
You will provide EHS guidance and support at all levels of the business, manage, maintain, and develop H&S procedures and standards, ensuring that UK regulatory and ISO 45001 requirements are met.
You will advise and support Contract/Project and Site Managers to fulfil their responsibilities for the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees. As well as ensuring that all personnel are aware of their duties and responsibilities and providing advice as needed. Preparing and chairing team, project, and Client-facing meetings when necessary.
What experience do you need?
- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent qualification) is essential for this role.
- Technician membership of IOSH or similar is required.
- Knowledge of document management systems, ISO 45001 or similar.
- Experience in supporting senior management to cultivate a positive health and safety culture.
- Experience in translating health and safety legislation into practical policies, procedures, processes, and guidance.
- Producing reports for individual sites, operatives to accident ratio, KPIs, PPE suitability, etc.
- Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Relevant experience of developing and implementing H&S policies and procedures.
