We’re hiring for a Critical Cooling Engineer to join a specialist team working across data centre sites.
This is a hands-on role supporting high-spec systems for major operators like Stulz, Vertiv, and Schneider. You’ll be working with VRVs, chillers, and close control units, maintaining the kind of kit that keeps infrastructure alive – with access to manufacturer training and a senior team that knows their stuff.
The company is scaling up with a focus on quality – every job is critical, and engineers are trusted to take ownership. The callout rota is informal and low-frequency, shared between a compact, capable team. Most callouts are rare thanks to well-maintained systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll handle service and maintenance across chillers, VRFs, VRVs and CRAC/CRAH units. You’ll be covering data centre sites – with door-to-door travel pay included.
What’s In It for You
- £50,000 – £60,000 base salary
- Full door-to-door travel pay
- Transit Custom van – fully equipped
- Company iPhone + laptop
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Nest pension
- Manufacturer-led training opportunities
- Low call-out frequency, no formal rota
What You’ll Need
- Strong VRV/VRF service background
- Chiller or close control cooling experience is a bonus
- F-Gas certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Based in the South East with flexibility to travel
What’s Next?
If you’re ready for a role where the engineering comes first – not the paperwork – just hit apply or send over your CV (even if it’s not perfectly updated). The tools, van, and support are all ready to go.
