Air Conditioning Service Engineer

Permanent

£48,000 - £52,000

Looking for an Air Conditioning Service Engineer role where there’s no call-out rota, no late-night breakdowns, and you can actually enjoy a proper work-life balance? Then this could be exactly what you’re looking for.

This is a VRV/VRF Air Conditioning Service Engineer role, joining an HVAC maintenance team covering commercial sites across London, the Home Counties and the South East.

The biggest selling point? There is no call-out rota. The role is built around sensible scheduling and an 8-hour day wherever possible. Most engineers are packed up and heading home mid-afternoon, ahead of the worst of the rush-hour traffic.

You’ll work a planned mobile schedule, with jobs arranged around your location where possible, equipment delivered directly to site, and no depot collections eating into your day.

What You’ll Be Doing as an Air Conditioning Service Engineer

You’ll carry out planned maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis and repairs across commercial VRV/VRF and split systems. It’s mainly service and maintenance work across commercial portfolios, with tablet-based reporting for job sheets and records. You’ll be trusted to work independently, manage your own diagnostics, and keep standards high on client sites.

If you want to develop further, there’s the option to gain exposure to critical cooling and chiller work through training and on-the-job support. If you’d rather stay focused on VRV/VRF, that works too.

What You’ll Need

  • F-Gas Category 1 / 2079
  • Strong commercial VRV/VRF service and fault-finding experience
  • Full UK driving licence

Everything else we can work with.

What’s On Offer

  • No call-out rota
  • £48,000 – £52,000 basic, depending on experience
  • Paid 8-hour day approach
  • Sensible scheduling, with a focus on avoiding unnecessary late finishes
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • Company van with personal use
  • Tablet, phone, tools and uniform provided
  • Optional training and development support

What’s Next

If you’re an experienced VRV/VRF engineer who wants a mobile role without the pressure of call-out, this is your chance to join a team that genuinely values work-life balance. Send over your CV – doesn’t need to be perfect – and we’ll take it from there.
